Nicole Webb - SDC 5/6

Hi, my name is Ms. Webb and I am a 5th and 6th grade teacher at Jackson Elementary.  This is my 7th year teaching at Jackson Elementary, following 7 years as a middle school teacher in LAUSD. I have worked in the field of education for 25 years, beginning as a preschool teacher, then moving into Early Childhood administration for several years.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from Hope International University, my Master’s degree in Special Education from Arkansas State University, and I earned my Autism Certificate from UCLA.

I chose to become a public school teacher 14 years ago because I missed working students in a classroom setting. I love seeing my students set goals for themselves and being able to celebrate their achievements at the end of the academic year.   I think of each student as my own kid, and I have long-term connections with many of my students from my first years in the classroom.

My favorite thing to do when I am not teaching is spending time with my family.  My husband Noe and I have 3 adult kids from 20 to 27 years old.  We also have 3 fur kids as well, Mochi, an American Eskimo, 2 English Bulldogs, Lola and Rico, and pet chickens that we raise for eggs. On the weekends, school breaks, and holidays, we enjoy camping in our 5th wheel toy hauler, barbecuing, and enjoying life on our mini farm.

Some of my hobbies include cooking, crafting, and decorating my home.
